Yenny Wahid Melahirkan Anak Pertama

Zannuba Arifah Chafsoh (Yenny Wahid) melahirkan anak pertamanya pada Jumat (13/8) sekitar pukul 22.27. Bayi perempuan cucu almarhum Presiden ke-4 RI Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) itu diberi nama Maica Aurora Madhura.

Yenny melahirkan bayinya melalui operasi caesar di Rumah Sakit Medistra, Jl Gatot Subroto, Jakarta. "Semoga napas baru ini membawa keselamatan dan kebaikan dalam kelanjutan peradaban umat manusia," ujar suami Yenny, Dhohir Farisi, saat dihubungi kemarin (14/8). Dhohir merupakan anggota DPR dari Fraksi Partai Gerindra.

Memasukkan kata Madhura sebenarnya menjadi keinginan Yenny sebelum melahirkan. Jika anak yang dilahirkan perempuan, Yenny bersiap memberi nama buah hatinya dengan nama salah satu suku bangsa yang juga mengalir dalam darah suaminya. Tapi, jika yang lahir laki-laki, nama yang sudah disiapkan adalah Abdurrahman.

Lewat akun Twitter, kakak Yenny, Alissa Qatrunnada Wahid, menyebutkan bahwa kondisi si ibu maupun jabang bayi sehat. "Alhamdulillah, ibu dan anak sehat," ujar Alissa.

Yenny dan Dhohir menikah pada 15 Oktober 2009. Tak lama berselang, kandungan Yenny berisi. Gus Dur yang sempat menerima kabar gembira tentang kehamilan putrinya itu ternyata lebih dulu meninggal dunia pada 31 Desember 2009. (dyn/c7/tof)

Ten Cow Dowry for Former Indonesian President Gus Dur's Daughter

Yenny Wahid, the daughter of former President Abdurrahman 'Gus Dur' Wahid, married lawmaker Dhohir Farisi on Thursday and her family received a rather unusual dowry — 10 cows.

The wedding ceremony took place at 2 p.m. at Al Munnawwarah Mosque in Ciganjur, South Jakarta, next to the former president’s house.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Jusuf Kalla served as witnesses. Flower bouquets lined the front of Gus Dur’s house on Thursday morning, including one from the president and the first lady, Ani Yudhoyono.

The reception was held at Sampoerna Strategic Square in Central Jakarta

Dhohir is a lawmaker from the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra).

The groom’s family explained that the cow was a symbol of welfare, and said the bride’s family took the unusual dowry from their Madurese in-laws in stride.

“Maybe it’s common in Madura,” said Sintha Nuriyah, the mother of the bride.

The wedding ceremony took place under heavy security because of the presence of the president and vice president. About 130 police officers were stationed around the mosque and Gus Dur’s residence.
